Changing Times
Oh, how the world has changed since I started this journey. I feel as though that's why I found this part of me when I did. I needed to change myself so I could handle the changing world. I know I wouldn't be so well off if I hadn't changed. I just can tell my anxiety would be getting the better of me much more often. Earthy-existence can be quite frightening right now. But most days I'm calm. In fact, I think I've had only one anxiety-stricken moment....
I spend most of my days at home now. Lou is on her last week of online classes. I spend many moments of my days doing and saying little things to keep The Boy and The Hubby safe since they are "essential." I cook and read and learn to love the moments of nothing throughout my day. I am spending a LOT more time outside just existing.
I don't craft as much as I did at the beginning of my journey. I can't just go out to the store daily for more supplies, and many people just don't have the finances to buy wreaths or other things I create. In fact, today will most likely be the first time I make a trip to a store for such things in the past month. Beltane is quickly approaching, and I want to make a few things for that.
My house is not clean. I find my Fibro has kept me choosing between doing chores and doing something that is good for me. I'm sure I too often choose the latter. My house is protected, and right now that's good enough. The Hubby is so nice not to say much about it. It is time, however, to put the household further up my "must do" list.
I bought a lot of items from a lady--I don't know if she doesn't practice anymore or what. The first box of goodies came in yesterday. She sent me a good 12-13 books! That will surly keep me busy for a while. I'm excited to have more references of learning for my Craft. The first book I'm reading is Paganism--an Introduction to Earth-centered Religions by Joyce and River Higginbotham. I'm one of those old school girls that LOVES having the paper book in hand. I tend to drift off when I'm reading through a computer screen.
In the portion of, "So, how is Witchcraft going?" I am still learning. Once in a while I'm drawn to attempt something. Yesterday, The Hubby complained because he had no work Tuesday and was worried our finances may take a hit. He had a call in on Wednesday later in the morning. I did a spell orb for prosperity and success. He called me that afternoon to say he suddenly had so many jobs he didn't know where to turn around! I take that as not only did my orb work....it was strong! I'm not sure I'm ready for more meaningful/powerful spell attempts just yet...
